The NYC opening event kicked off with a Peter Max Reception on Dec 6th where Peter's most recent creation, a new painting of Bobby II Freedom, a NYC carriage horse that was rescued from slaughter, was auctioned off to benefit Wild for Life Foundation's SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES. Proceeds from the auctioned artwork will  help widen the audience and support for this important documentary film project. The reception was well attended - guests enjoyed meeting and mingling with Peter and Mary Max, filmmaker Katia Louise, and cast from the film.

Filmmaker Katia Louise and attending cast appeared for the opening festivities, Dec 7th and 8th, where viewers unanimously urged for much stronger promotion and wider release of SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES.

Please support this film,” says Paula Bacon, former mayor, Kaufman, TX.  "Saving America's Horses is Fantastic! Powerful and compelling” — Greg MacGillivary, MacGillivary Freeman Films (IMAX)
