Jackie, Mrs. Gene Autry named Spokesperson and Ambassador to Wild For Life Foundation and its Saving America’s Horses Initiative

The Wild For Life Foundation today announced Mrs. Gene Autry as Spokesperson and Ambassador to its Mission to Save, Protect and Preserve America's Wild and Domestic Horses

Lake Mathews | March 18, 2015 - Wild For Life Foundation (WFLF) is thrilled to welcome Jackie, Mrs. Gene Autry as a Spokesperson and Ambassador to WFLF's community enrichment equine welfare programs where horses and people are partners in healing.  Mrs. Gene Autry's voice speaks to the heart of America and gives strength to a more united effort in the protection of America's horses from unspeakable cruelty. Jackie, Mrs. Gene Autry is the former owner of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and widow of (the Great Legend) singer, actor and businessman Gene Autry. She is the Honorary President of Major League Baseball's American League, an honorary post she has held since 1999. Jackie Autry is the only woman to ever serve on the Major League Baseball Executive Council, on its Oversight Committee, and as a member of the MLB Board of Directors. She is President of Gene Autry Music Publishing Companies which houses four publishing companies; and President of the Autry Foundation. Jackie is Chairman Emeritus and Lifetime Director of the Autry National Center a facility she and her friend (Joanne Hale) built in 19866/88. It houses the Museum of the American West, Southwest Museum of the American Indian and the Institute for the Study of the American West. She is Vice Chairman of Aerospace Technologies Group/ATGGroup/ which makes shades for corporate and commercial jets in which she is the majority stock holder. Jackie served as past President of the American Red Cross, founded the Community Blood Bank on the campus of Eisenhower she continues to serve on the Board of Trustees at Eisenhower Medical Center. She is also a current member of the Board of Directors of the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center.

As a Spokesperson and Ambassador to the Wild For Life Foundation, Jackie Autry seeks to raise awareness and support for its Mission to aid in the protection and preservation of America's wild and domestic horses from cruelty and extinction..
